Family. It is a word that once carried so much respect but for many reasons, has been under attack in today’s world. Not in his household. In his household, family and faith is the foundation of what guides them, and it is the beat to his drum and the oxygen to his lungs. His family life was not always happy though. Here is a piece of his story.
Born in 1989 in Silver Spring, Maryland, Pierre grew up in less than ideal circumstances. His childhood was plagued with problems that created for a chaotic upbringing, but what would later become the driving force behind the passion he fights with today. His mom and dad divorced while he was still young, and his mother became the head of the household. They moved from place to place due to financial troubles and he never was able to keep friends longer than a few months. Family was often in and out of his life and he often felt as if he was yelling out for help in a crowded room, but no one could hear him.
The scares of his childhood carried over to first few years of his life as an adult. He had a victim mentality and felt the need to blame the world for any struggle he had. It was not until 2018 when he came across a video of conservative superstar, Candace Owens, that his life changed. That video gave him his infamous "red pill moment." In 2018 Candace Owens and Brandon Tatum also launched BLEXIT, a movement intended to break Black Americans free of the left's suffocating policies on our community. In 2019, inspired by the courageousness of Candace and Brandon, he launched the very first BLEXIT chapter in North Carolina. Over a year later, he has now launched 30+ state chapters, 3 BLEXIT subdivisions, and now serves as the National Director for The BLEXIT Foundation.
It is because of his life’s circumstances and challenges early on, that he is able to understand the victim narrative, precisely. It is also the reason he is able to help many others in that very state fight out of it and become the best version of themselves. He is unapologetic in his belief that no matter the cards that have been dealt; we all have the ability to enjoy the American dream. He does not subscribe to groupthink, and he refuses to believe that the Black community is somehow incapable of more because of their skin color. He intends to break every chain. Pierre believes freedom is ours for the taking!
